The electro-polymerization of a polypyrrole coating on oxidizable metal surfaces comprises electrolytic deposition from an eg. aqueous pyrrole solution, with or without stirring. Also claimed is a bath implementing the process. CLAIMED - The bath gives a homogeneous adhering coating, and the solution incorporates ions of tartarate [C4O6H4]2-.
