The non-contact smart card has the antenna (36) formed by screen printing onto a support (28) made of a fibrous material such as paper. The chip (40) contacts are attached to the support by a conductive adhesive. Cutouts in the corners of the support allow welding of the card elements. The card is then hot laminated (30) to seal the components.
