PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a bead part.;SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire 1 is furnished with a toroidal carcass 6, and the carcass 6 includes a carcass ply 6A furnished with a main body part reaching a bead core 5 from a tread part 2 and a folded part 6b folded back to the outside from the inside in the axial direction around the bead core 5 as well as communicated to this main body part and having a winding piece 9 to terminate by extending to the inside in the axial direction along an outward surface 5a in the radial direction of the bead core 5. Length L1 of the winding piece 9 is not less than 0.5 time of width BW1 of the outward surface 5a. An organic fiber cord layer 10 is interposed at least between the winding piece 9 and the outward surface 5a. A distance (t) between a cord of the winding piece 9 and the outward surface 5a is made 0.05-1.0 time of cross-section height BH of the bead core 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
