The input air unit in a building issues in the roof or walls, preferably in the roof, and comprises two plate-type parts parallel with each other and with the wall or roof. The plate part connected with the wall or roof has a recess for connection and fixture of the unit to an input air pipe in the building. Air is deflected by the other plate-type part and guided into the room. Between the two plate-type parts (1,2) is a holed strap (9) arranged around the periphery of the input air unit or slightly in towards its middle. Its width is virtually equal to the distance between the plate-type parts and its length is variable dependent upon the size of the plate-type parts.
