Soft tissue cephalometric analysis in orthodontic, orthognathic surgery

Patient's facial features are assessed by placing the patient's face in a natural head position, placing markers on facial structures, taking a head film image and measuring size and angle measurements of key facial landmarks. Absolute landmark values and angle measurements relative to true vertical line on head film image of patient, are compared to database of facial harmony values. The database consists of size and angle measurements of key facial landmarks and facial harmony values compiled from a group of esthetically balanced faces.
