The technique for the measurement of the hydrochloric acid (HCl) content in gases, fully saturated with water, continuously extracts a part-flow of the gas to be cooled for condensation. The HCl content in the condensation is measured to give a continuous register of the level of the HCl content in the gas. The measurement of the condensation is through its electrical conductivity, and the values are transferred to a computer with a program to compute the HCl content of the gas from the conductivity measurement values, taking the temperature of the gas channel into account together with the ratios of the condensation to the inert gas volumes at the given temperature. The electrical conductivity of the condensation is measured inductively. An independent claim is included for a measurement assembly with a probe (2) in the gas flow channel (1), which continuously extracts a part-flow into a measurement channel (3). A cooling unit (4) is in or at the measurement channel (3), followed by an electrical conductivity meter (5,8). The measurement channel (3) is connected to an under pressure (3'), for the suction extraction of the part-flow from the main gas flow. The cooling unit (4) is a fluid heat exchanger. The electrical conductivity meter has an inductive conductivity probe (8), and a chloride (Cl) electrode or a pH electrode.
