Bolt pin system for the arthrodesis reconstruction of calcaneum fractures.This system consists of a pin in the form of a wedge with two threaded holes in which two ribbed screws that stabilise the entire assembly are inserted. These elements are mounted using an insertion and guide-destination system.Its main objective is the reconstruction of serious splintered fractures of the calcaneum in humans and the fixing of this bone once its main shape has been reconstructed to the astragalus to obtain the fixing of joints or merging with it.The surgical procedure is done using a small external para-achillo incision, resulting in the closed technique since the fracture is not exposed.The pin is inserted in the upper tuberosity of the calcaneum and then passed through the screws that thread into the pin itself and into the body of the astragalus. The system takes advantage of the tension of the Achilles tendon and the plantar fascia for its stability.
