The conversion of waste oils into diesel oil comprises the separation of the impurities, visbreaking of the high-density fractions, flash separation and atmospheric and vacuum fractionation. Also claimed is apparatus implementing the process. An Independent claim is also included for an apparatus for the above process, comprising fractionation columns, a centrifuge, a furnace and a co-generation system. Preferred Features: The oil, produced together with fuel oil, can be used in thermal and electrical energy co-generation.
