Biological control in the production of paper from leafy wood consists of wood pulp pulping and blanching with increase in overall economy

The biological control in the production of paper from leafy wood comprises pretreatment of wood chips prior to pulping and blanching with basidiomycetes fungi such as Bjerkandera adusta. Thus eucalyptus-based Kraft paper and chlorine-free paper (TCF) of low lignin content are produced with savings on reagents and on pulping energy.
