REARVIEW MIRROR TARGETING AND REPOSITIONING SYSTEM

A rearview mirror system for a vehicle includesa plane mirror pivotably mounted to a vehicle having adirectional signal means. A solenoid is operativelyconnected to the plane mirror for automatically changingthe position of the plane mirror in response to a signalfrom the directional signal means in order to render theblind spot viewable to a driver. A reference positioncorresponding to a properly focused mirror is establishedby visually aligning an indicium on the mirror with anindicium on the vehicle.
