Provided is a method of determining the amount ofcholesterol in high-density lipoprotein (HDL), which comprisesreacting an HDL-containing sample with cholesterol esteraseand cholesterol oxidase or cholesterol dehydrogenase in thepresence of a reagent for aggregating lipoproteins except HDL,and determining the amount of hydrogen peroxide or reductiveco-enzyme formed therein.
