PIPETTE-WASHING DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC BIOCHEMICAL ANALYZER

There is disclosed a pipette-washing device for use with anautomatic biochemical analyzer. The pipette-washing deviceincludes a wash fluid-ejecting block for ejecting a wash fluidtoward pipette. An upwardly spreading groove is formed in thetop surface of the body of the block and extends along thetrajectory of the front end of the pipette. The groove isconnected at its lower end with the vertical wash fluid channel.A lateral draining channel is formed in the body of the block andconnected with the lower end of the vertical wash fluid channel.When the pipette moves, the front end of the pipette movesthrough the groove. The block is inclined at an angle to thevertical within a plane in which the groove extends.
