A software abstraction layer abstracts awaydifferences among different Enterprise JavaBean (EJB) servers.The software abstraction layer has an abstract class and anumber of concrete or sub-classes of the abstract class. Eachconcrete class is associated with a particular EJB server. TheEJB servers offer a number of the same or common services. Theabstract class includes an abstract method for each of thecommon services. Each concrete class includes a concretemethod associated with each of the abstract methods. Eachconcrete method implements one of the common services on aparticular EJB server.
