A method for providing trade credit information to a user comprises storingfinancial information on a memory device, receiving a request from a user fortrade credit information regarding a customer of the user (302), processingthe request for trade credit information in conjunction with the storedinformation (303), generating a credit report (304) which may include acustomer credit limit, a customer credit quote, or a customer credit report,and transmitting the credit report to the user (305). In preferred embodimentsof the invention, the user may also purchase trade credit insurance (414),monitor a customer account, and/or turn over an account to a collection agencyfor collection (607). Each of the embodiments may be purchased by the user asan integrated package or as stand alone modules.
