The invention refers to a device for reducing the required take-off distanceat water surface of float-equipped seaplanes, in which the pitch of the wingis variable in relation to the horizontal longitudinal axis of the seaplaneand which comprises a fuselage (1) with pilot and passenger compartment, saidfuselage supporting a wing (6) and a drive engine (12) with propeller (13) andsaid fuselage (1) furthermore through struts (7, 9) and an upright framestructure (5) being carried by a pair of floats (2a, b) and connected with arudder-equipped tail portion (3a, b, c, 4). The frame structure (5) comprisesan upper crossbeam (8) and a lower crossbeam (14). At least one strut (9a, b)with variable length is hingedly connected at its upper end to said uppercrossbeam (8) and extends obliquely downardly-rearwardly and is at its lowerend hingedly connected to a further crossbeam (10), extending between saidpair of floats.
