The claimed invention relates to a method for information transfer via active electronic mail, wherein the information is encoded and included in an e-mail message and is decoded after receipt of the message. It is specific that the encoded information is fitted into the header of the e-mail message after a specified marker for a specified freely selectable field, and the decoding of the information is done in reading the header of the e-mail message while in access to the e-mail server.
