The invention relates to the use of metal complexes containing perfluoroalkyl, comprising a critical micelle formation concentration 10-3 mol/l, a hydrodynamic micelle dynameter of (2 Rh) 1 nm and a proton relaxivity in plasma (R1) 10 l/mmol.s, as contrast agents in MR imaging for the representation of plaque, lymph node, infarcted and necrotic tissue and for independent representation of necrotic tissue and tumoural tissue.
