The inventive device for displacing a movable element along a non-linear trajectory comprises a body provided with cylindrical compartments having open ends. Said compartments are arranged in such a way that the circular end surfaces thereof can partially superimpose each other. Rotatable elements are arranged in each compartment in such a way that they can turn about their axis. The end surfaces of the rotatable elements are embodied in the form of geometric figures which are formed by excluding the superimposed surfaces of the adjacent compartments from the circular end surfaces of the body. The movable elements are arranged between the rotatable elements. The end surfaces thereof correspond to the superimposed surfaces of the end surfaces of the compartments and complement the end surfaces of each adjacent rotatable element to form a disk. The end surfaces of the rotatable and movable elements form an upper and a lower surfaces used for transporting articles. The inventive device can be used as a locking device.
