The present invention relates to a data processing system to evaluate the selected financial data and calculate an index of diversity on the basis thereof. The diversity index is a measure of the relative portfolio diversification and thus becomes an important measure of risk exposure of the investor. The system of the invention also relates to a process tool collection to facilitate risk management of investment portfolios.
