The invention relates to a device for exploiting hydropower, comprising a shaft (16), which forms a tow section, and several impact elements (20) that are arranged in said shaft and fixed to circulatory retaining means (22). The aim of the invention is to provide a device for exploiting hydropower of the aforementioned type with improved operational efficiency. To achieve this, the aforementioned device for exploiting hydropower is provided with closed channels (36, 38) running parallel to the shaft, whose outlets open into said shaft. The outlets of different channels are arranged one behind the other in the direction of flow.
