A device for holding dental handpieces envisages that a tank (7) and a lid (8), together forming a container (6) for the sterilization and disinfection of the handpieces, be integrated with an upper portion (5) of a dental unit and that holes (9) in the lid (8) have a tubular element (10) that can be inserted from the outside into one of the holes (9); the tubular element (10) is made of flexible material, suitable for autoclaving, and is equipped with means (11) for positioning it and fastening it to the lid (8), the said means being located at the open end of the tubular element (10).
