Digital programmable phase shifter and analog-digital converter using such a phase shifter

The phase shifter has a module (10) which provides in-phase and quadrature signal components from an input signal to two digital multipliers (20,30). Each multiplier is controlled by a digital control signal. The first control signal is a function V*sinx and the second control signal is a function V*cosx, where V is a continuous voltage and x is the phase shift. The functions are then each multiplied by the input signals and passed to a summer (40). The output from the summer provides the phase shifted signal.
