A plant growth regulator comprising as the active ingredients (i) gibberellin and a jasmonic acid ester, represented by the following formula (1): wherein R¹ and R² represent hydrocarbon groups. Gibberellin and the jasmonic acid ester are applied as a mixture, or as single agents each containing one of the two compounds,which are applied concurrently, or separately by a procedure wherein, while the earlier applied one is still in force, the other is applied.
