NOVEL FERROCENE-TYPE POLYCYCLIC HYDROCARBON DERIVATIVES, NOVEL FERROCENE-TYPE NAPHTHALENEDIIMIDE DERIVATIVES, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, INTERCALTORS COMPRISING THESE DERIVATIVES AND METHOD OF ELECTROCHEMICALLY DETECTING GENE
It is intended to provide novel compounds which can be easily separated and purified after the completion of the synthesis thereof, can be obtained at a high yield and are useful as intercaltors for nucleic acid bases such as DNA and RNA constituting the double helix structure. The above object is achieved by providing novel ferrocene-type polycyclic hydrocarbon derivatives represented by the following formula (1): (1) wherein A represents a polycyclic hydrocarbon or its derivative; R1 represents C¿1-3? alkyl, etc.; R?2 and R3¿ represent each a group serving as an electron-donating group or an electron-attracting group in an aqueous solution; R4 represents C¿1-6? alkylene; and n and m are each from 0 to 2; provided that two identical groups in a molecule are different from each other and N bonded to R?1¿ has been optionally cationized.
