BLASTING APPARATUS FOR FORMING HORIZONTAL UNDERGROUND CAVITIES AND BLASTING METHOD USING THE SAME

Disclosed herein is a blasting apparatus for forming horizontal underground cavities and blasting method using the same. The blasting apparatus includes a metallic body (10) provided in its center portion with a loading chamber (11), the discharge holes of the loading chamber (11) facing laterally. A delayed detonator (23) and a shaped explosive (20) are loaded in the loading chamber (11) of the body. A connecting ring (12) is formed on the body (10) for connecting the body (10) to a hoisting rope (50). The balsting method includes the step of loading a detonator lead (24), a delayed detonator (23) and a shaped explosive (20) in a loading chamber (11). The blasting apparatus is suspended over a vertical pit (H) by operating a hoisting device. The blasting apparatus is lowered to the entrance of a vertical pit (H), and a detonator lead (24) draw out of the body is connected to a leading wire (60). The blasting apparatus and the leading wire are lowered into the vertical pit (H) at a positioned at the position where fluid discharges or will discharge is detonated. The body of the blasting apparatus is retrieved by lifting the body using the hoisting device (50).
