METHOD FOR THE BIOLOGICAL CONTROL OF LIPOPHILIC COMPOUNDS USED IN THE PRODUCTION OF PAPER PULP FROM HARDWOOD

The invention relates to a method consisting in pre-treating wood chips before pulping and bleaching with basidiomycetes mushrooms from the Bjerkandera adusta, Phlebia radiata, Pleurotus pulmonarius or Poria (synonym Ceriporiopsis) subvermispora species. Said pre-treatment is particularly suitable for obtaining paper pulp from eucalyptus by alkaline cooking (Kraft) and chlorine free bleaching (TCF). The inventive method can be used to reduce the pitch deposits and to produce good-quality paper pulps having a low lignin content, thereby making savings in terms of pulping and bleaching energy and reagents.
