Method to anonymously secure user personal data in a computer network

The method involves the user entering personal data, his client generating a cipher pair(s), passing the identifier to a third party computer with a control instance sign-on, transmitting the identifier to the server, informing the client of the identification request, transmitting a cipher in the server to the client and third party computer, transmitting an associated cipher to the third party computer for decoding, extracting information. The method involves the user entering personal data, the user's client generating at least one cipher pair, passing the user's identifier from the client to a third party computer with a control instance sign-on, transmitting the user identifier from the third party computer to the server for the control instance for identification, informing the client of the identification request and transmitting a cipher in the server to the client and third party computer, transmitting an associated cipher from the client to the third party computer and decoding the cipher in the third party computer and extracting the information from the cipher. Independent claims are also included for the following: a method of performing a first sign-on for a control instance for anonymous assurance of the characteristics of a user in a computer network, a method of generating and applying cipher pairs, a method of checking the validity of an encoded cipher element, a method of generating a cipher, a method of symmetrically coding a data field, a method of decoding a data field, an electronic data processing system and a computer program.
