The connector, with unwinders (3) for finishing (1) and new (2) spools, a storage section (4), cutter and splicer, has a cutting post with two opposite and pivoted assemblies (6) for preparing, cutting and splicing the bands, each assembly being equipped with a guide and provisional support. The two assemblies are complementary and consist of pivoted frames and sliding housings with cutters and adhesive strip applicators (11).
