Method and system for blind detection and determination of the demodulation procedure in a digital mobile telecommunication system

The method involves modulating individual coded data packets by a selected modulation method, sending them to a receiver, selecting a demodulation method using quality criteria gained from the incoming data packets, combining data packets, determining an overall demodulation method from quality criteria for the combined packets and replacing packets not consistent with the selected method with information that does not affect subsequent decoding. Independent claims are also included for the following: a digital mobile radio system, a receiver system and a transmitter system for a digital mobile radio system.
