The present invention is directed to a plant transformed with a novel S-adenosyl-L-methionine: jasmonic acid carboxyl methyltransferase gene and a novel Jasmonic Methylase protein synthesized therefrom and an expression vector comprising the gene. It is about. The enzyme synthesizes jasmonic acid methyl ester based on jasmonic acid and S-adenosyl methionine, which is known to mediate the growth of plants and the reaction against pest invasion. The transgenic plants exhibiting resistance to various plant pests and stress without affecting the growth of the plants can be obtained by introducing and overexpressing the new genes that are specifically expressed in flowers.
