The present invention is a base station matching sub-system (BIS) within the ATM multiplexer / demultiplexer of the IMT-2000 control terminal; UTOPIA level 2 performing unit (sub-multiplex) supporting (ATM Multiplexing / Demultiplexing Assembly AMDA) in, Utopia level 2 functions and as for providing an apparatus to perform the matching function between uTOPIA level 1 performing unit (processor) that supports the uTOPIA level 1 features, such invention layer matching between to perform the ATM physical layer function the multiplexer to the processor and, by performing the matching function between the uTOPIA level 1 and uTOPIA level 2, it implements the utopia matching control unit which provides a 16-bit data paths as a EPLD (Electrically Programmable Logic devices), and so that exchange of information can be made at a high speed device the configuration makes it possible to simplify.
