PURPOSE: A BSR(Buffer State Report) message in an HDR(High Data Rate) system and a method for transmitting thereof are provided to exactly yield terminal control information on the basis of RLP(Radio Link Protocol) buffer state report information and to prevent reverse traffic congestion. CONSTITUTION: A BSR message in an HDR system includes a message ID field and a report reason field at least.
