-2000 METHOD FOR PROCESSING GRAPHIC ALARM INFORMATION IN IMT-2000 BEMS SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for processing an alarm information graphic in an IMT(International Mobile Telecommunication)-2000 BEMS(Base station Element Management Subsystem) is provided to define an operation and maintenance layer and an alarm level to a BSC(Base Station Controller) and a BTS(Base Transceiver Station) and perform a graphic process of alarm information using defined information. CONSTITUTION: A GUI(Graphic User Interface) judges whether alarm information to a plurality of BSCs or BTSs is received from an ACP(Access Control Process)(S1). If alarm information to a plurality of the BSCs or the BTSs is received from the ACP, the GUI process unit opens an operation and maintenance layer table in a database and searches a subblock in the BSC or the BTS(S2). The GUI process unit judges whether an upper block of a corresponding subblock exists(S3). If the upper block of the corresponding subblock does not exist, the GUI process unit opens various alarm information tables in the database and retrieves whether a level of alarm information is a critical level, a major level, or a minor level(S4). The GUI process unit updates graphic picture data of the corresponding subblock in a graphic picture storing unit according to a corresponding alarm level(S5). The GUI process unit reads alarm graphic picture data of the graphic picture storing unit and displays the read alarm graphic picture data through an operator terminal(S6).
