PURPOSE: A strain for decomposing high concentration toluene higher than 1500ppm, Rhodococcus rhodochrous HPLT-1 (KFCC-11169), shows excellent bioremediation effects for toluene contaminated soil over wide range of pH(pH4-7) and is able to culture in both aerobic and anaerobic condition. CONSTITUTION: Rhodococcus rhodochrous HPLT-1 (KFCC-11169) is isolated in MSM(minimum salt medium) comprising Na2HPO412H20 9g/L, KH2PO4 1.5g/L, MgSO4 7H2O 0.2g/L, NH4Cl 1.0g/L, FeSO47H2O 0.1g/L, CaCl22H2O 0.1g/L, ZnSO47H2O 10mg/L, MnCl4H2O 3mg/L, H3BO3 30mg/L, CoCl26H2O 20mg/L, CuCl6H2O 0.56mg/L, NiCl6H2O 2mg/L, NaMoO42H2O 10mg/L.
