Caisson breakwater for blocking up the high waves and equipped projection eliminating waves thereof

PURPOSE: A caisson breakwater provided with wave overtopping and wave absorbing outstanding bars is provided to intercept a reflected wave and an overtopped wave of a caisson breakwater effectively. CONSTITUTION: As for constructing a caisson breakwater(WB) on a rubble base(3), a caisson breakwater provided with wave overtopping and wave absorbing outstanding bars comprises the steps of installing a multistage horizontal outstanding bar(6) projected from the upper part of an open sea side wall(5) of a caisson(4), forming a semicircular retreated groove(7) on the lower side of the outstanding bar(6), boring many seawater discharge holes(8) on an intermediate wall of each outstanding bar(6), erecting an inner partition wall(9) on the back of the open sea side wall(5), boring seawater discharge holes(8a) on the inner partition wall(9) to form a flowing water room(10) on a bar between the open sea side wall(5) and the inner partition wall(9), filling up the flowing water room(10) with riprap, boring seawater discharge holes(8b) on an inland sea side wall(12), installing a semicircular projection(13) on a horizontal plane between seawater discharge holes(8b), and boring rectangular discharge holes(15) on the lower side of a cap concrete(14) placed over the top of the caisson(4) to connect with the upper part of the flowing water room(10).
