PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a straight and spiral groove and an aluminum spacer using the same are provided, which reduce a weight of a fabrication facility and also realize a quality stabilization and cost-down of the aluminum spacer using drawing dies and a roller twister. CONSTITUTION: According to the method for forming a spiral U-shaped groove aluminum spacer used as a central core of an optical fiber composite ground wire, a straight U-shaped groove(8) is processed on an aluminum rod having a circular section by passing a drawing dies(1) 2-10 times. Then, a spiral U-shaped aluminum spacer(7) is processed using a roller twister, and then a lubricant remained on a surface of the aluminum spacer is removed using a cleaning apparatus(3).
