PURPOSE: A width measurer is provided to measure an accurate width regardless of the thickness of an object by compensating the measurement error when a camera is used. CONSTITUTION: A width measurer comprises a camera(11) to pick up the width of an object, a frame grabber(12) to measure the signals of the camera by the unit of a frame, an operating device(13) to operate the width(W) of the object by using the thickness(t) of the object and a formula 'W=(x1+x2)/Hx(H-t)', and a display unit(14) to display the width operated by the operating unit. Herein, x1 and x2 are distances from the position of the camera to both ends of the object and H is a distance from the camera to the bottom face of the object.
