PURPOSE: An electronic setoff method and a device using a computer are provided to be able to perform a payment without needing money by executing a setoff against the credit and debit occurred between the plural dealers. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of transmitting a setoff request including the customer's data for the credit and debit to a setoff service provider computer(31) through a customer terminal(32a) and a communication network(33), storing the customer's data for the credit and debit receiving to the setoff service provider computer in a storage(314) of setoff service provider computer, executing a setoff operation using the customer's data for the credit and debit stored in the storage by operating a CPU of setoff service provider computer, transmitting the opinion notices confronting the setoff request of the customer through the network in order to make a setoff, and executing a payment by the setoff according to the setoff contract.
