PURPOSE: A system and a method for a financial transaction using an instant messenger is provided to enable a messenger user to execute a financial transaction by clicking a financial category of the instant messenger and executing the financial transaction procedure with a mobile telephone number. CONSTITUTION: The mobile telephone payment platform(40) and instant messenger financial transaction system(30) has a security device. The mobile telephone payment platform uses the registering information stored in a customer database if necessary by connecting to the customer database(70) of mobile communication company. The instant messenger financial transaction system connects to the customer database directly or indirectly. The instant messenger connects to instant messenger financial transaction system through the Internet and links with the mobile telephone payment platform. The instant messenger is equipped with a financial transaction category and operates a program relating to the category. The instant messenger financial transaction system connects to an electric commerce company(50) through the Internet. The clients of electric commerce company connected to the instant messenger financial transaction system executes the financial transaction such as a price payment using the instant messenger.
