PURPOSE: An optical multiplexing module for remote terminals in an IMT-2000 digital optical repeater is provided to embody an optical transmission unit having a multiplexing function and an optical transmit-receive function for data signals for remote terminals. CONSTITUTION: An optical signal(FOR) received through a WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexer) coupler(202) makes 16 parallel signals(F16D) and 16 parallel output clock signals(F16CK) through an optical/electrical converter(203) and a clock extraction and 1:16 bit deinterleaver(204). Reversely, the 16 parallel signals(F16D) and the 16 parallel output clock signals(F16CK) are converted into an FOT signal, identical to the FOR signal, through a clock generation and 16:1 bit interleaver(205) and the electrical/optical converter(206). As a reference clock of the clock generation and 16:1 bit interleaver(205), an Mx/16 Hz RCK, formed by the jitter suppressing of an Mx/16 Hz PLL(208) for an Mx/16 Hz F16CK, is provided so that the jitter of an Mx-bps multi-signal generated through the clock generation and 16:1 bit interleaver(205) can be minimized.
