Construction Method of Thermal Prestressed Rigid Frame Structures.

PURPOSE: Provided are a steel framework structure and a process for working the structure by using a simple equipment construction and a temperature-prestressing process to improve behavior of the framework such as positive and/or negative bending moments. CONSTITUTION: The working process comprises a first step of installing steel framework parts without addition of heat to desired positions thereof and not coupling joints at construction field; a second step of providing a heat source and inducing modification of the steel framework parts to have a desired temperature distribution on local sections of the devices; a third step of connecting the framework parts together applied with the temperature distribution at the construction field; a fourth step of removing the temperature distribution after the third step to alleviate and/or reduce stress generated on cross sections of the framework parts caused from a dead load and a sliding load by respective positive and negative portions of the structure.
