624 Verticillium lecanii CS624 isolated in Korea Myzus persicae and biological control of the aphids using the strain

摘要

PURPOSE: Verticillium lecanii CS624 strain isolated from Myzus persicae and a method for biologically controlling an aphid are provided, thereby minimizing damages of fruit trees or vegetables caused by the Myzus persicae. CONSTITUTION: Verticillium lecanii CS624 (KFCC-11220) having an excellent insecticidal effect on an aphid is isolated from Myzus persicae by: isolating hyphae from the surface of Myzus persicae; inoculating the hyphae in a medium containing tetracycline and cultivating it at 25 deg.C; isolating spores and suspending the isolated spores in 0.001% Tween 80 solution to prepare spore suspensions; spraying each of the spore suspensions on the rear surface of a pepper leaf having aphids; and selecting a microorganism showing an excellent aphid-inhibiting effect. The aphid is biologically controlled by spraying a microbial preparation containing Verticillium lecanii CS624 strain (KFCC-11220) to fruit trees or vegetables.
