PURPOSE: A method for allocating reverse traffic channels in a mobile system is provided to effectively implement voice services and data services by allocating one reverse traffic channel to each voice channel and assigning the other allocable channels, except the traffic channels for voice services, to data services. CONSTITUTION: A BCP in a base station judges whether a channel allocation or release request signal is transferred from a mobile terminal(S1). In case that a channel allocation request signal is transferred, the BCP judges whether the transferred signal is a voice call or a data call(S2). If the transferred signal is a voice call, the BCP releases the voice call channel and changes a data call channel allocation state(S3). If the transferred signal is a data call, the BCP releases the data call channel and changes the data call channel allocation state(S4). However, if the transferred signal is a voice call for channel allocation(S5), the BSP judges whether the voice call meets condition #1(S6). If the voice call meets condition #1, the BSP allocates a channel to the voice call(S7). But if the voice call meets condition #2, the BSP allocates a channel to the voice call and changes the data call channel allocation state(S8,S10). If the voice call does not meet condition #2, the BSP disposes of the voice call(S9). Also, if the transferred signal is a data call for channel allocation(S5), the BSP judges whether the data call meets condition #3(S11). If the data call meets condition #3, the BSP allocates a channel to the data call(S12). But if the data call meets condition #4, the BSP allocates a channel to the data call after changing the data call channel allocation state(S14). If the data call does not meet condition #4, the BSP disposes of the data call(S15).
