PURPOSE: Provided is a structure for protecting multi-functional barrier such as road barrier or river barrier and useable as base layer of road or retaining wall to enable planting of trees and plants to lead environmentally friendship restoration of ecosystem. CONSTITUTION: The structure(1) comprises a protection plate(100) made of a thin and light fabric such as high density polyethylene(HDPE) material and having embossed surface(110) treated to have stability against deterioration caused by UV light. The embossing treatment is helpful for increasing coupling strength between the barrier structures and landing materials such as earth and soil, pebbles and improving reinforcement force of the thin protection plate. The structure is formed with a set of cut sections(131) and continuous honey-comb holes(130) in multi-stages. On non-cut section of the structure, longitudinal and/or transverse connection and securing holes(120)(140) are formed.
