PURPOSE: A pencil sharpener for children and artists is provided to allow a user to freely cut a pencil into a desired shape, and to prevent the user from being damaged during cutting. CONSTITUTION: The pencil sharpener for children and artists consists of three bodies(1,2,3) having a spiral tubular portion(6) and an inner spiral portion respectively so as to allow the three bodies to be coupled into various manners. The first body is made of a transparent material, and provided with a sand paper(4). The second body is made of a transparent material, and provided with an inner rubber membrane(5) and a conical cutter(7) or a trapezoid cutter(7A). The third body serves to temporarily store wastes generated during cutting of the pencil.
