PURPOSE: A method for embryo storage by vitrification, straw for embryo storage including the embryo vitrified according to the method and a method for thawing the straw by 1-step dilution are provided, thereby freeze-storing externally fertilized eggs rapidly and cost effectively and if necessary thawing the frozen fertilized eggs rapidly by using straw. CONSTITUTION: The method for embryo storage by vitrification comprises the steps of: firstly treating the fertilized egg with PBS solution containing glycerol and FBS for 4 to 6 minutes; secondly treating the fertilized egg with PBS solution containing glycerol, ethylene glycol and FBS for 4 to 6 minutes; exposing the fertilized egg to PBS solution containing glycerol, ethylene glycol and FBS for 25 to 35 seconds; inserting the fertilized egg into straw; treating the straw with the liquified nitrogen for 2 to 4 minutes; and storing the straw in a liquified nitrogen tank.
