PURPOSE: A vehicle navigation system using a GPS(Global Positioning System) in a CDMA mobile terminal is provided, which provides a position tracking service with a mobile telephone and provides a real time service as to a present position of a user in a moving vehicle by receiving the position information of the user in real time, by embedding a GPS module in the CDMA terminal. CONSTITUTION: A GPS menu is selected among menus of the CDMA mobile terminal. After inputting position information to know into the terminal, it is transmitted to a position mail server through SMS. The mail position server retransmits the position information like a latitude and a longitude of a destination to the terminal through SMS. The terminal receives the position information like the latitude and the longitude of the destination from the position mail server through SMS. The terminal receiving the SMS displays a direction to go and a present direction on an LCD window. GPS information is received from the terminal and is transmitted to an MSM.
