Cosmetic composition containing ginsan polysaccharide extracted from Panax ginseng

PURPOSE: Provided is cosmetic composition containing ginsan polysaccharide extracted from panax ginseng which has anti-oxidation effects, recovering effects on damaged skin from contacting sun-lights and moisturizing effects on the skin. CONSTITUTION: Ginsan polysaccharide facilitates dermal cell proliferation and its biosynthesis. The cosmetic composition containing the ginsan polysaccharide is manufactured by the steps of: finely cutting panax ginseng then extracting it with water then freeze-drying the extract to obtain water-soluble powders; dissolving the powder in water then saturating it with ethanol to obtain pellets; dialyzing the pellets to obtain ginsan polysaccharide; and adding 0.001-10 wt.% of the polysaccharide as an active ingredient into cosmetic composition.
