PURPOSE: Provided is a process for eliminating residual metal catalysts from conjugated diene polymers hydrogenated selectively by an organic titanium compound as a catalyst, which can eliminate titanium compounds and lithium salts effectively. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises the steps of: bringing a solution of an inorganic acid and an alcohol into contact with a hydrogenated polymer solution and mixing but not separating and not removing the alcohol layer, wherein the inorganic acid is at least one selected from the group consisting of hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, and phosphoric acid and the alcohol is at least one selected from the group consisting of methanol, ethanol, propanol, butanol, and 2-ethyl-1-hexanol; adding water to the mixed polymer solution and separating and removing the water layer.
