Slag coating mixed powder and slag coating method by splasing on the wall firebrick in converter

摘要

PURPOSE: A splash slag coating method for spreading mixed powder of magnesia and cokes over slag for coating converter wall is provided to increase coatability and prevent resolubilization, and improve durability of refractory. CONSTITUTION: The splash slag coating powder comprises cokes and magnesia(MgO) containing 20-70% of cokes with a size less than 3mm. The coating is performed by spreading 30-200kg(per 1ton slag) of the mixed powder over slag with an inert gas through an oxygen lens, where the mixed powder, being less than 3mm in size, decreases content of slag content and increases viscosity of slag for improving coatability.
